A New Look for Bible Design Blog
With an incredible amount of help from web developer Honza Pokorny, a longtime reader of Bible Design Blog, the site has migrated from Typepad to Wordpress and taken on a cleaner, more user-friendly look. Every post and all of the many comments contributed since the blog's beginning in 2007 have been transferred. There may still be a few kinks, which I will work out as we go forward. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the new site. For a long time, I've been frustrated with the aesthetics of the old site. It's not easy writing about good design when your blog looks like an example of the contrary. Working on the new Bible Design Blog has been inspiring. Now the look and the content are more harmoniously aligned.
The feature I am most excited about is the new category drop-down menu. During the transfer process, I re-cataloged the site's content, adding categories for translation, publisher, binding style, format, and color. Now you can sort posts by any of these criteria, making it easier to find what you're interested in.
If you're hooked up to the Bible Design Blog RSS feed, you will probably need to re-subscribe. (I know some readers reported problems with the old feed; I trust Wordpress will handle that process better.)
Most of all, I want to thank Honza for his tireless programming work. I would not have been able to do this without him. We all owe Honza a debt of gratitude. So, thank you!
